Vocabulary

I'm in the process of transferring my files to this site. I've added the following vocabulary applets:

  • Genesis
    • The top 500 words in Genesis
  • Aramaic
    • Vocabulary words from Johns's A Short Grammar of Biblical Aramaic
  • Lambdin Hebrew
    • All the vocabulary words from Lambdin's An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew
  • Ge'ez
    • Some vocabulary words from Lambdin's An Introduction to Classical Ethiopic (Ge'ez)

 

I've converted the applets to a self-contained C# program (C# = only runs in windows) with XML data files. Because I am in an open source mood, I am not maintaining the C# program (I am also in a "buy local" food mood, which in many ways is similar). For now, the best way to access the vocab programs is through my web site. You can email me for the C# program.

If you know how to download and run applets on your computer (you need to download the html page, the jar files, and have the JRE installed on your computer) you are welcome to do so, but I will not give instructions on how to do it. If you do, you may only use the applets for your own personal use and you may not redistribute them.
